見施仁兄典雅古色的精妙英詩中譯，不僅手癢。
惜無如彼之詩心和功力，白話粗譯一詩，以增其色：)
原詩為英國詩人BEN JONSON所作。該詩人并有
《給西麗亞》等名詩。寫愛与死的异同，別具
一格。
Though I am Young and Cannot Tell
Ben Jonson
如我之年青，無法細辨，
死亡的本意和愛的真諦，
嘗聞二者皆如標槍，
雙雙的目標是人的心臟。
复又聽說，各有德性，
愛傷于火，死傷于冰﹔
我似恍然有所覺悟，
感受的极端結果卻一途。
恰如斷壁殘垣，
或灰飛或塌坍﹔
又好比我之消亡，
似潮退又似閃電﹔
因知愛之燃燒的箭桿，
亡我之速有如死亡冰冷的魔手﹔
惟有愛火的熾熱尚存，
惊散墳墓中寒气逼人的霜霧。

Though I am young, and cannot tell,
Either what Death or Love is well,
Yet I have heard they both bear darts,
And both do aim at human hearts.
And then again, I have been told
Love wounds with heat, as Death with cold;
So that I fear they do but bring
Extremes to touch, and mean one thing.
As in a ruin we it call
One thing to be blown up, or fall;
Or to our end like way may have
By a flash of lightning, or a wave;
so Love's inflamed shaft or brand
May kill as soon as Death's cold hand;
Except Love's fires the virtue have
To fright the frost out of the grave.
愛与死亡，一熱一冷，燃燒并冰封了心。唯一
的區別，在于死后，死亡的冰霜，要靠愛的火
焰消融。
奇妙的聯想又富有哲理。送給天下有情無意人。

賜我更多的愛戀，要么格外的冷漠。
為汝上冰閣下油鍋。
悲痛中再添模棱兩可，
----妾經不起這溫溫陌陌。
墨則赤則，愛者恨者，
味甘胜天國。
賜福我暴雨磅跎，若愛就是這一說，
宛如丹旎的金色沐浴，
讓妾弄潮歡海愛河，若上蒼明鑑，
冷漠，終被洪流吞噬。
我賭咒地企盼著，他將走火入魔，
從地獄中掙脫墜入极樂。
----彼刻，加冕我歡樂，治愈我痛苛(草頭換病字框)。
賜我更多的愛戀，要么格外的冷漠。
