英詩再譯－－現在似乎可以談信、雅、達

綜合比較詩人、老王、雪焰的翻譯，慢慢地可以將原詩的意思比較
准确地琢磨出來。有一點我覺得強調不夠的，是virtue這個詞。原
詩中說，愛神与死神都致命，但是愛神之致命fires the virtue. 這
里，the virtue是fire的賓語，不是對火的性狀的描述。翻譯過程中，
似乎不應當忽略這個。因此我傾向于詩人的看法，將virtue譯成“善”
“美”“真諦”，而不是一筆帶過。另外，"bring extremes to touch",
大約是放在一起比較的意思。愛神、愛情，死亡、死神，原詩就是模
糊的，干脆我們也模糊處理，一概用愛情。反正，“愛情之箭”也可
以追溯到愛神。

原詩作者其實是很有邏輯地比較死亡与愛情，翻譯文字應當能夠傳遞
這個內在邏輯。我覺得綜合現有的翻譯，差不多能夠做到這一點。這
是“信”。

關于“達”，我想就是，讓人看一遍就明白吧。“雅”比較困難。雪
焰的七言体雖好，非我所長。還是試著用現代詩体吧。老王的“亡我
之速”雖准确，放在詩里似太散。用“致命”來代替，似乎緊湊一些。

【雖然我年輕懵懂】

雖然，我還年輕
理不清死亡、愛情
聽說
愛与死同持利箭
專射人心

還聽人說
愛如火焰，死如嚴冰
皆會傷人
我恐怕這是真
但是，体驗愛与死
兩极背后
竟是同一事情

當毀滅來臨
萬物都將爆發或沉淪
也許
生命終結于閃電、大浪
衹在一瞬
愛情燃燒的箭
死亡冰冷的手
同樣致命
但是，愛情之火箭
也點燃了美与善的真諦
墓里將霜退如春。
