见施仁兄典雅古色的精妙英诗中译，不仅手痒。
惜无如彼之诗心和功力，白话粗译一诗，以增其色：)
原诗为英国诗人BEN JONSON所作。该诗人并有
《给西丽亚》等名诗。写爱与死的异同，别具
一格。
Though I am Young and Cannot Tell
Ben Jonson
如我之年青，无法细辨，
死亡的本意和爱的真谛，
尝闻二者皆如标枪，
双双的目标是人的心脏。
复又听说，各有德性，
爱伤于火，死伤于冰；
我似恍然有所觉悟，
感受的极端结果却一途。
恰如断壁残垣，
或灰飞或塌坍；
又好比我之消亡，
似潮退又似闪电；
因知爱之燃烧的箭杆，
亡我之速有如死亡冰冷的魔手；
惟有爱火的炽热尚存，
惊散坟墓中寒气逼人的霜雾。
原文：
Though I am Young and Cannot Tell
Though I am young, and cannot tell,
Either what Death or Love is well,
Yet I have heard they both bear darts,
And both do aim at human hearts.
And then again, I have been told
Love wounds with heat, as Death with cold;
So that I fear they do but bring
Extremes to touch, and mean one thing.
As in a ruin we it call
One thing to be blown up, or fall;
Or to our end like way may have
By a flash of lightning, or a wave;
so Love's inflamed shaft or brand
May kill as soon as Death's cold hand;
Except Love's fires the virtue have
To fright the frost out of the grave.
爱与死亡，一热一冷，燃烧并冰封了心。唯一
的区别，在于死后，死亡的冰霜，要靠爱的火
焰消融。
奇妙的联想又富有哲理。送给天下有情无意人。

赐我更多的爱恋，要么格外的冷漠。
为汝上冰阁下油锅。
悲痛中再添模棱两可，
----妾经不起这温温陌陌。
墨则赤则，爱者恨者，
味甘胜天国。
赐福我暴雨磅跎，若爱就是这一说，
宛如丹旎的金色沐浴，
让妾弄潮欢海爱河，若上苍明鉴，
冷漠，终被洪流吞噬。
我赌咒地企盼着，他将走火入魔，
从地狱中挣脱坠入极乐。
----彼刻，加冕我欢乐，治愈我痛苛(草头换病字框)。
赐我更多的爱恋，要么格外的冷漠。
